Kenneth Goins, MSMr. Kenneth Goins received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Luther College in Decorah, IA. He went on to receive a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in youth & adolescent counseling. Mr. Goins has worked with at-risk youth in a day treatment setting as well as a school for children on the autism spectrum. He has experience with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. Mr. Goins is a pre-licensed clinician who is currently being supervised.
Mr. Goins strives to ensure his clients feel heard and safe during the therapy process. He utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as strengths-based and person-centered approaches to help clients build positive coping skills and learn new support strategies. His calm demeanor, sense of humor, and experience working with youth and adolescents help him to further connect with his clients. Mr. Goins was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Iowa City, Iowa. Despite living in Wisconsin for the past 5 years, he remains a passionate Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He stays active playing competitive tennis and learning pickleball. He enjoys watching live sporting events, traveling and spending time with his cat, Maggie. |
