Sara Zimmerman, MSW, LICSWMs. Sara Zimmerman is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than twenty years of experience working with children and families. Ms. Zimmerman received her undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College and Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota. She has expertise in child development, specifically areas of attention concerns, anxiety, eating disorders, and depression.
Ms. Zimmerman uses a variety of treatment modalities that include play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practices. In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Zimmerman is a certified yoga instructor, teaching both children and adults. She is committed to helping her clients develop mind-body awareness, self-regulation, and self-care practices. Ms. Zimmerman brings warmth, compassion, and light-heartedness, to create a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment. Ms. Zimmerman volunteers her time coaching a soccer team for kids and young adults with special needs. She loves to travel, read, hike, and practice yoga. She is happiest when spending time with her family, friends and Cavalier dog, Coco. |
