Sarah Frankfurt, MA, LAMFT
Sarah Frankfurt completed her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She has an undergraduate degree in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ms. Frankfurt has experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and connects especially well with teenagers struggling with anxiety and depression. She has expertise treating substance use issues from her previous position at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. She is also a certified facilitator of Prepare/Enrich, an evidence-based assessment tool aimed to foster healthy relationships.
Ms. Frankfurt is open, compassionate, and curious. These traits contribute to a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their challenges and successes. Ms. Frankfurt views therapy as a joint endeavor to create new meaning and help clients reclaim their strengths. She empowers clients through developing coping skills, fostering emotional awareness, and helping clients identify sources of internal and external support. Clients appreciate Ms. Frankfurt’s focused attention and genuine concern in understanding their story.
Ms. Frankfurt grew up in Edina and loves spending time with friends and family. She lived in California for a period of time, where she became a yoga instructor in the Los Angeles area. In her free time, Ms. Frankfurt enjoys staying active, practicing yoga, traveling, and attending concerts.
