Dedicated to excellence in psychological practice, we use knowledge of empirical literature and proven psychological techniques in the development a treatment plan to offer a highly personalized, evidence-based approach tailored to each individual or family.
Individual Sessions
Various approaches are utilized during individual sessions to address client concerns.
- We have expertise in treating anxiety and depression using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is an effective treatment that assists clients in identifying the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and teaches them healthier thinking strategies, relaxation techniques, and coping skills.
- Several of our therapists have specific training and certification to assist those who have been through traumatic experiences, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
- We are also proficient in Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP) approaches for OCD treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and suicidal thinking, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Group Therapy
LGBTQ+ & GENDER EXPANSIVE GROUP
This group is an affirming, non-judgmental space for queer and gender expansive teens to come together to process experiences unique to their community. With a therapist Erika Nelson, MA, LPCC facilitating, teens are able to explore and process topics unique to the LGBTQIA+ community. Topics may include (but are not limited to): gender or sexuality exploration, navigating interpersonal relationships, how to cope with stigmas, coming out, transitioning, identity expression, and being an advocate for yourself and your community.

This six-week social skills group will assist 5th graders transitioning into middle school. This group is led by Myeida Beasley, MA, LPC and designed to:

- Seniors in High School and College-age Group: Tuesday 11:00-am-12:00pm weekly from June 12, 2023 - August 8, 2023 (skipping July 4; 8 sessions available) at Wayzata clinic
SMOOTH SAILING INTO SIXTH GRADE

- decrease child's anxiety about transitioning
- teach child positive coping skills strategies about transitioning (deep breathing, mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation)
- build child’s confidence and self-esteem about transitioning
- teach child organization and time management skills
- Wednesdays 10:00-11:00am from July 12, 2023 through August 16, 2023 (6 sessions) in Edina clinic, Suite 445
