Hannah Borkhus, MAMs. Hannah Borkhus received her Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University in New York, NY. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Ms. Borkhus’ has worked with children, adolescents, and families in day treatment, outpatient, and educational settings. Her areas of focus include trauma, attachment, emotion regulation, attention concerns, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorder. Ms. Borkhus is currently being supervised as she obtains her final hours for licensure and expects to be licensed as an LPCC in Summer 2023.
Ms. Borkhus’ positive energy creates a safe and welcoming environment for her clients. She has a passion for creating meaningful relationships with children and their families and nurturing each and every child’s development. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and play based therapy approaches in treatment. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ms. Borkhus was born here in Minneapolis, MN and currently lives in southwest Minneapolis with her husband and dog, Copper. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, or walking around the lakes and spending time up at her family cabin in northern Wisconsin. |
